you know, our old house,
the one we rented
they have it plastered now.
the window
where we used to have our old rusty cooler
is closed now
the new owner has an AC, so.
Remember where we parked our bicycles
under that Peepal tree,
they have a car now
nice, pretty; Chevrolet i think,
tree they have cut though
it was too much mess
with the birds and all.
That old video shop around the block
we used to buy cassettes with our pocket money
at the end of the month from
he has an electronic goods store there.
the old kirana wala across the street
who gave us candies for stolen chillar,
has made it a super market too.
the band wala in the baaju ka mohalla
who used to irritate us
whole day
with his nagging practice
of same songs over and over
they have shut it down,
too much noise it was.
you should see how much progress that place has made;
have to say, somehow though
i liked the old one better..
nice
